“Active Member Class” means a class of members where there are still members holding one or more shares in that class.

In a FairShares enterprise with several (four or more) member classes, some classes may have no members, or have not been activated. Some parts of the constitution recognise that the Article apply only to 'active' member classes (those with members) and not all member classes.
