A Social Licence is a verbal and written agreement that covers the values and principles that will guide the development of a relationship between two organisations. It may identify shared social goals and specific projects. It will always outline how equity in the relationship will be achieved, and the approach to sharing materials and knowledge using a Creative Commons approach to IP management.
